Okie Dokie
November 21, 2006Today I convinced myself to finally role out of bed at 5am. I was supposed to be already driving by that time, but oh well. I still drove 610 miles today. I left Memphis and made it to Sayre, OK. About half way through Arkansas, the traffic came to a dead stop for about 20 mins. Seems a trucker pushed himself too hard and feel asleep at the wheel. He flipped his truck and trailer over on it’s side in the middle of the road. One of the drivers on the CB said the trailer just gave up and decided to take a nap. By the time I got passed it, the truck and trailer had both be uprighted, but the left side of it was beaten up pretty badly and the windshield had been busted out. The driver appeared to be ok.
I called my mom & dad this morning and was on the phone with them for nearly 2 hours. My mom passed her driving test last Friday and got her license back. For those who don’t know, she had a seizer about 3 months ago and her doctor had it suspended. She’s very happy to have it back. Now she can get around without having depending on everyone else for a ride. We also talked about the baby, and the blanket my mom wants to crochet for him/her. Then I talked to my dad a little while about their new dog. They have a dachshund named Suzie. I also found out that they will not be bringing her to TX when they come to see the baby. Someone will have to dog sit for them. The rest was just blah, blah this and blah, blah that.
Nothing else eventful happened the rest of the trip. I stopped for the night at about 4pm, had Taco Bell for dinner, and I’ve been in the truck just kickin’ it ever since. I’ve got about another 130 mile to get to Amarillo. I’ll have to get up at 4:30am (for real this time) if I’m going to make the load’s 7am delivery time. I still don’t know yet what my next load is, but it’s still early.
Remember, don’t fart too many times cause, “S@*t Happens!” With that I’m Outta here!

Her most recent seizure was three months ago. That is when she lost her license. I am glad she is able to drive herself around again. I am sure Dad and Steph are too!! Hopefully you will be headed home today!
You know, I’ve heard a lot of things over the years on the CB etc… Some funny, some hilarious, but about that truck wrecking, and the trailer just wanting to take a nap? I still have tears in my eyes from laughing!!! Can’t believe I haven’t heard it before
